Anandaram Barua Jatiya Vidyalaya, a non government Co-Educational Assamese medium institution (under Asom Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati) has been established on 26th January 2005 at Odalbakra (near Kahilipara Power House), Guwahati.

For the first time in 2005 about 60 students took admission in this school. A few visionary educated persons of Odalbakra took the responsibility to establish an Assamese medium private school at Odalbakra, Guwahati.

There are many English medium schools in this area but a few visionary educated persons wanted to establish this Assamese medium school at Odalbakra considering for the poor and needy people who are also unable to give their children proper education through their meager sources of income. Through this Assamese medium school the poor and needy people are also now capable of sending their children to learn not only Assamese but also English language properly and fulfill their wishes of the people of this area.

The faculty staffs work very hard to fulfill the dreams of the children and as a result the number of students increase day by day. Now the total enrollment of the school has increased to 230.
